As Fashion Roundtable's Textiles Researcher and wool lead for The Great British Wool Revival, I attended the British Pasture Leather Field Day on Wednesday 30th April. Led by the incredible Alice V Robinson (designer and author of Field, Fork, Fashion) and Sara Grady (Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program and various food and farming initiatives), both regenerative leather experts in their field and co-founders of British Pasture Leather.

Firstly we arrived at Lannock Manor Farm for a talk and overview of the day, this was led by a team of farming experts. The inspirational team consisted of John Cherry (founder of Groundswell), Claire Whittle (Regenerative Vet from LLM farm vets), Nicky Yoxall (Technical Director at Pasture for Life) and both Alice and Sara (from British Pasture Leather).

Opening talks began with John Cherry, who gave us an overview of the five principles of Regenerative Agriculture and why agriculture is so closely aligned to fashion and food. The five principles consist of:
