The historic city of Bath is set to become the epicenter of fashion innovation and creativity with the launch of the inaugural Bath Fashion Festival (BFF) in 2024.
This groundbreaking two-day event, to be held at the stunning Holburne Museum & Gardens, promises to invigorate the global fashion industry by bringing together renowned designers, influencers, and fashion enthusiasts for an immersive and unforgettable experience.
The festival will feature a showstopping catwalk, interactive experiences, pop-up designer shops, and panel discussions focusing on current fashion trends and sustainability. The BFF has already secured an impressive lineup of contributors, including Vivienne Westwood, Scamp and Dude, Erin O’Connor, Bay Garnett, Ruth Crilly, Manolo Blahnik and Sky Diamond, among others.
Guests will have the opportunity to engage with industry icons, attend expert panel talks, and participate in workshops led by leading brands and designers.
The BFF is committed to promoting environmentally responsible fashion practices, with dedicated discussions and an education area focused on sustainable fashion. The festival aims to inspire positive change in the industry, moving beyond conversation to actionable steps towards a more sustainable future.
Jade Parfitt, founder of the Bath Fashion Festival, expressed her excitement about the event:
“We are thrilled to be able to showcase some of the outstanding work by students from the fashion course at BSU on our runway at The Holburne Museum. We want Bath Fashion Festival to become an annual event for and of the local creative people that live, work, and study locally. A festival that really celebrates all aspects of our diverse industry.”
Sustainability is a core focus of the event. BFF are committed to highlighting a fashion industry that values ethical production, eco-friendly practices, and conscious consumerism. Throughout the festival, you’ll find a strong emphasis on the future of sustainable design, with brands and designers in conversation about how to create fashion that respects both people and the planet.

Cut The Red Tape campaign launch, Wednesday 11th September 2024
Tomorrow, Fashion Roundtable will be part of this important event at the London Art Bar, 300 High Holborn, London WC1V 7JH 5.30-7.30pm
In the lead-up to the "Cut the Red Tape" campaign launch tomorrow, Fashion Roundtable is joining the call to address the growing challenges UK creatives face post-Brexit. As highlighted in a recent Financial Times article, creative professionals, including artists, musicians, and fashion industry workers, are struggling with complex visa regulations and logistical hurdles that are limiting their ability to work and tour in the EU.
Supported by Creative Powerhouse, this campaign pushes for Labour to honour its commitment to ease these restrictions and remove the barriers holding back British creatives.
The event, scheduled for tomorrow, will bring together policymakers, creatives, and industry leaders to discuss solutions and advocate for change. Fashion Roundtable is proud to support this vital cause, recognising that the creative industries are not only integral to the UK’s cultural identity but also a driving force for economic growth and innovation.
Come support the campaign and help secure a fairer, more accessible future for UK creatives in Europe!

Outlaws: Fashion Renegades of 80s London exhibition, opens 4th October 2024
Outlaws: Fashion Renegades of 80s London focuses on the year the legendary nightclub Taboo was opened by designer and performance artist Leigh Bowery, 1985.
A tiny club in the corner of Leicester Square, Taboo provoked an extraordinary explosion of fashion designers, artists, writers, performers and filmmakers. Displaying original garments and accessories from Leigh and over thirty designers, including custom-made pieces from private collections, photography, film and artworks, the exhibition focuses on this outrageous, alternative arena where the anarchic energy of the night spilt over into the experimental creativity of the day.
This is the first exhibition to explore the range of designers and creatives associated with Taboo, many of whom have been forgotten or died tragically young. The exhibition will bring to light a creative community of people who together influenced and changed the landscape of British popular culture in the mid-1980s.
With items on display ranging from a graphic jacket worn by Boy George and designed by Dean Bright to a carpet coat by Mark and Syrie, a yellow shower curtain cape worn by Nicola Bowery and a goldsuit designed by Stephen Linard, the exhibition showcases radical designs by fearlessly alternative designers.
Outlaws: Fashion Renegades of 80s London is at the Fashion and Textile Museum from 4 October 2024 until 9 March 2025
